Refund + cancellation policy

Cancellation — anytime, no questions asked

You can cancel your gasguide subscription at any time from your account settings (under Plan → Manage). Cancellation is immediate; you continue to have access through the end of your current billing period (the date you already paid for), and you are not charged again.

Cancellation does notautomatically delete your account. Your attempts, credentials, study history, and saved progress remain so you can re-subscribe without losing anything. To delete your account fully, see "Account deletion" below.

Refunds

We issue refunds in three situations:

  • 14-day money-back guarantee on first paid subscription.If you upgrade from Free to Standard or Premium and decide it's not for you within 14 calendar days of your first paid charge, email support@gasguide.app and we'll refund that charge in full. One-time, per account, on first paid subscription only.
  • Duplicate or accidental charge.If you were charged twice for the same period, charged after canceling, or charged on a card you didn't intend to use, email us with the receipt and we'll refund within 5 business days.
  • Service materially failed to deliver.If a paid feature was advertised but not functional during your billing period, write us with specifics and we'll review and prorate or refund as appropriate.

Outside those three cases — including normal cancellation after the 14-day window, partial-month refunds, or change-of-mind refunds on a previously-renewed billing period — we do not refund. Subscriptions are billed in full at each renewal. We do not prorate mid-cycle refunds.

Annual subscriptions

Annual subscriptions follow the same 14-day first-paid-subscription guarantee. After 14 days of an annual term, the annual charge is non-refundable. You may still cancel renewal at any time and continue to have access through the end of the prepaid year.

One-time store purchases

À-la-carte products in the store (mock-interview packs, essay reviews, future MATE Act bundles, etc.) are refundable within 7 days of purchaseif you have not yet consumed any sessions or downloaded any digital deliverables. After consumption begins, those purchases are non-refundable. Physical merchandise (when offered) follows our shipping partner's return terms, listed at checkout.

Failed payments + account holds

If a renewal payment fails, we retry per Stripe's default schedule (typically 3 attempts over the following week). After the final retry fails, your account automatically downgrades to Free tier — your data is preserved, but paid features are locked. Update your card from account settings and your access restores immediately.

Account deletion

To permanently delete your account and associated data (attempts, credentials, documents, share links), email support@gasguide.app from the email on the account. We process deletion within 14 days. Some derived data (anonymized analytics, payment records required by tax law) may be retained — see our privacy policy for details.

B2B / institutional contracts

Cohort licenses, faculty admin contracts, and other B2B agreements follow the terms in the master service agreement signed at deal close — typically annual, non-refundable after 30-day onboarding window, with renewal per the contract. Contact programs@gasguide.app with questions on existing institutional contracts.

Disputes + chargebacks

Please email support@gasguide.app before initiating a card chargeback. We resolve almost all billing disputes within 48 hours, faster than your bank can. Filing a chargeback without contacting us first may result in account suspension while the dispute is investigated.
