Replaces CPC + CPCA
NBCRNA's recertification program. Sustains your CRNA credential through ongoing education + a longitudinal online assessment called MAC Check. The MAC Program replaces the legacy CPC (Continued Professional Certification), and MAC Check replaces the legacy CPCA (CPC Assessment) proctored exam.
Minimum 60 (assessed)
Anesthesia-specific CE that includes a post-test (assessed = there's a question component, not just attendance). Maps to the legacy "Class A" concept.
Up to 40 allowed
Professional development beyond formal CE — leadership, mentoring, committee service, ACLS/PALS/BLS, certain academic activities. Replaces the legacy "Class B" concept.
Self-paced, longitudinal online platform that replaced the high-stakes proctored CPCA. Quarterly question batches. No single sit-down exam. Designed to make recertification feel like ongoing learning rather than a cliff.
Are you renewing between June 30, 2026 and December 31, 2027?
You'll be enrolled in Modified MAC Check — a 5-quarter ramp on the new platform before your next official renewal. You still complete legacy CPC renewal requirements during the transition. Beginning with your following renewal cycle, you enter the full MAC Program.
