PaO₂/FiO₂ ratio (Berlin ARDS)

Berlin definition (2012). The single most-cited number in ICU rounds for ARDS. Combine with bilateral infiltrates, no cardiogenic explanation, and PEEP ≥5.

P/F = PaO₂ / FiO₂

Berlin ARDS criteria:
  > 300         Normal
  201-300       Mild ARDS
  101-200       Moderate ARDS
  ≤ 100         Severe ARDS
