Driving pressure (Pplat − PEEP)

Driving pressure is normalized for compliance: keeps tidal volume safe regardless of how stiff the lungs are. Lower ΔP = better outcomes in ARDS.

Driving pressure (ΔP) = Plateau pressure − PEEP
Target: less than 14-15 cmH₂O
