Unintended Intraoperative Awareness
Patient consciousness during surgery, with explicit recall after. Highest-risk groups: cardiac surgery, OB GA, trauma, NMBA paralysis with light anesthetic.

Nissen Fundoplication / Hiatal Hernia Repair
GERD refractory to PPI, large hiatal hernia, sometimes Barrett's. Often obese, cardiopulmonary comorbidities. Older patients with paraesophageal hernia at risk for incarceration.
